Oktoberfest

Yes, beer is surely the main highlight of the Oktoberfest in Munich (Germany). Locals and tourists from around the world eagerly await the first barrel to be tapped by the major (see post from one year ago). But the grounds of the Theresienwiese where Oktoberfest is held, is actually divided into two major parts: The beer tents and the amusement rides. While there are loads of modern roller coasters and fun rides, some of the attractions have a long lasting history. Have a look at 3 of them:

1. It premiered in 1924 and continues to put smiles on peoples faces ever since: “Die Krinoline”. It’s a kind of carousel, slowly swinging to the rhythm of a valse & bavarian music played by a live band. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ePJnRZeCvw

2.  For 3 Euro you become witness of daily public executions by guillotine, the butterfly dance and frequent appearances of the world’s fattest woman. Incredible, but since 1869 “Auf geht’s beim Schichtel” has practically an unchanged performance. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=inumj54QBq4

3. The world’s smallest performing artists can be found in the flea circus. The animals are a regular attraction since since 1948: they pull carriages, perform artistic circus acts or kick teeny soccer balls into tiny goals. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A2ok83HKRI0

It operates in conjunction with your i – Tunes account, or you can have a number of
other connections, based upon what you want to view.
When the Blu-ray is loaded to Blu-ray Ripper, you can select
subtitles and audio track (English, French, German, Spanish) for each
chapter. A smooth interface, lots of recommendations,
and even the new Just for Kids section.
